POEMS
I should mention that I failed honors English -
they told me I would never write - some said I would not amount
to anything. But the teacher who failed me, said I had the right
to fail and that I would learn more through this process. She
was right to a degree. None of my teachers liked the way I wrote
from a personal perspective. Today, it is a valuable assett. My
friend Alan Webber told me once that what he thought was most
unique/valuable about me was that I wrote just as I speak and
that I brought my whole self to what I did.
So in that vein, I am opening my soul a little here
with a few of my poems. I am starting with the low hanging fruit
- the ones that are digital. In time, I expect to get the really
thick folder of hand written stuff in over the next couple of
months...
