Chris Heuer @ BlogOrlando 2007

This is the presentation I put together to help companies understand how Business is Personal (again) and what it means to be a human organization….

It was seemingly well received, though I did have one person contact me afterwards and say it was a great idea that would be a long time coming…  Personally, I already see it happening.  The most important slide from my perspective was about

"Social Media is tearing down the walls that keep us apart and changing the rules that have kept us from being human inside our companies."

Tim O’Reilly Interview @ Graphing Social Patterns

Tim was kind enough to take a few minutes out of his busy day to chat with me about his report on the Facebook Application Platform. You can read about his thoughts on it over on his blog.

The good news from my perspective is that he feels that many of the key technologies for enabling the open social graph will be appearing in the next 6-12 months. This means a great new time of excitement and game changing possibility is shortly to be upon us, despite the several people who are already claiming to be tired of hearing about this topic.

For those of you who don't know about the social graph, it is another way of looking at social networks, with some nuanced details. I will be writing more on this soon…

Business is Personal (Again?)

I have been meaning to post the video of this presentation along with the slides, but have not had time to edit, so here is the deck I have been using a lot lately – please send along comments and suggestions as I really want to improve this one again. I tried to embed it here, but SlideShare is breaking my CSS 🙁 Here is the presentation for you to review
So what do you think?
